An Alumni Crowning Achievement Award nomination consists of three parts:

  1. Online nomination form
  2. Biographical summary
  3. Letters of support

You do not have to be a University of Regina alumni to submit a nomination.

The nomination deadline: April 15, 2021.

Steps to nominate an alumnus or alumna:

  1. Read the award descriptions to ensure eligibility
  2. Select an award category from the right hand menu – (if you need help determining which category is most suitable for your candidate, please contact us.)
  3. Complete the online nomination form including:
    1. Nominee’s name and contact info
    2. Nominator’s name and contact info
    3. A biographical summary that highlights the nominee’s outstanding achievements:
      - How they are extraordinary? (250 words max)What impact have they me in their profession and community? (250 words max)
      - In what ways do they strengthen alumni pride and affinity to University of Regina (250 words max)
      - How do they fulfill the award criteria? (250 words max)
      - Include previous awards and honors if applicable
  4. Collect 2 – 5 letters of support
    • Letters of support from professional peers and those impacted by the nominee
    • Letters of support from family members will not be accepted
    • Letters of support can be submitted by email to Uralumni@uregina.ca
  5. Complete and submit the nomination form and attachments by April 15, 2021.  

    The Alumni Engagement Office will contact only the nominators of the successful candidates in June 2021. Nominees who are not selected in 2021, but fulfill the award criteria, may remain in a pool of candidates for an additional two years.

In this section you are providing a biographical summary that addresses four questions about the nominee and including relevant career and previous award information.
- How does the candidate fulfill the award criteria?
- In what ways have they achieved distinction in their field of endevour?
- What impact have they made in their profession and community?
- How do the nominee's achievements reflect positively on the University of Regina?

Supporters
Letters of support should be written by peers or individuals who can speak to the nominee’s impact on his or her profession and or community. Letters of support can be submitted by email to uralumni@uregina.ca
